Description

After a bit of a creative block I'm back mixing in some new and old tunes together. The mix starts out solid to grab your attention, then cools the dancefloor down a bit and sets it back on fire at the end. I had not mixed for a while when recording this mix, so it took some getting used to again. A lof of small mistakes in the beginning where I play with the eq's too abruptly during mixes (note to self: be carefull cutting mids too much, you can really hear it) One transition was really pretty bad though, the one to Afrikantastique - David Tort Remix. I had set the start of the track to play as a 8 bar loop in tractor but forgot to release the loop during the right measure in the phrase of other song, result: two songs don't match phrase. Not sure how well the levels are appreciated, tried to bring down the energy a bit in the middle of the mix but might have overdone it? I like the ending of the mix though, building up the energy and ending up with a song that works great in large rooms.
